About the NLCC Blog

The NLC blog is all about my escapades into the world of starting my own cupcake baking business (and then some other stuff too).

On the baking side I’ll be sharing recipes, debriefing my baking experiments (the good, the bad and the naughty *see note below), discussing tools and equipment I use and/or lust after and dispensing cool little tidbits and trivia about the baking world as I discover them.

On the business side I’ll be chronicling my steps to making it all legit.  Everything from the simple task of obtaining a business license to the more exciting, complex and creative ways of getting my product out there for people to buy and enjoy.

A sincere thanks to those of you who choose to follow along with me as I wander down this path.  Glad to have you along.

*A brief explanation of the Good, Bad, Naughty Scale: Good means I liked it and is broken down further with a 1 – 5  rating with 1 being just barley good and 5 being really damn good.  Bad is bad, enough said.  Naughty is off the charts good.  Naughty is roll-your-eyes-into-the-back-of your-head good, it’s temporarily-rendered-speechless good, it’s I-might-skip-sex-if I-can-have-some-more-of-this-good, it’s I’m-gonna-hide-this-from-other-people-cause-I-want-it-all-for-myself good, it’s I-might-name-my-first-born-after-this-recipe good, it’s, well, you get the idea.  Naughty is what I’m striving for here folks.
